The former Burnley defender left the Valiants to switch to Rovers in the January transfer window. He made twenty appearances while on loan at Vale Park.

Former Port Vale goalkeeper Chris Neal has joined big-spending Salford City. The club, owned by former Man Utd stars Ryan Giggs, Gary and Phil Neville, Paul Scholes and Nicky Butt have just been promoted to the National League.
Neal, who won promotion with Vale in 2013, was released by League One side Fleetwood earlier this year and joins fellow Fleetwood player Nathan Pond at Salford.
