Michael Tonge says a win would turn side’s fortunes around

Midfielder Michael Tonge says the side are “we are one result away from turning it around” as they look ahead to the game against Barnet.

Vale are without a win in 2018 and desperately need a victory against their fellow strugglers.

I think we are one result away from turning it around…

Tonge told the media: “It’s been quite strange recently. We’ve had some decent results, and looked solid in games. Strangely enough we’ve had quite a few 0-0s, but then we’ve had quite a few high scoring games.

“Whenever we seem to score a couple we concede quite a few, I think we are one result away from turning it around.

“Hopefully if we can just get that win we’ve been searching for, it’ll sort of snowball and we can pick a few good results up.”
