Watch: Aspin says Vale have to get on with their next game
Port Vale manager Neil Aspin says he is “not trying to pull the wool over peoples eyes” and the team have to get things right.
Vale crashed 5-1 to Cheltenham on Saturday and now face Exeter City on Tuesday evening.
I’m not trying to pull the wool over peoples eyes. We have to get on with the next game, we have to try and put those faults right and we’ve got to get on with the next game…
Aspin commented: “I’m not trying to pull the wool over peoples eyes. We have to get on with the next game, we have to try and put those faults right and we’ve got to get on with the next game.
“It was disappointing Saturday, a very difficult day. Certainly I didn’t see that coming in the way we started the game in which we were playing the first half, and the way we started the second half.
“Individual errors, really bad errors, and then a really poor 20 minute spell, as poor as I’ve seen probably since I’ve been a manager.”
