Opposing views: Coventry fan says side are reliant on team ethos

Coventry fan SKYBLUESAM66 on the skybluestalk.co.uk forum says that Vale’s next opponents have no outstanding individuals but the team has done well as a whole.

How do you expect your team to do?

We’re beating all of the top teams but getting some poor results against the bottom teams. Today I think we’ll finich third (but a week ago would have said tenth).

What are your thoughts on your manager and his signings?

We are walking in a Robins wonderland – he has sky blue blood! There are no outstanding players as it is very much a team effort at the moment.

Can you tell us some quirky things opposing fans might not know?

• We have had no top six finish in 45 years
• We were the first all seater stadium in English football
• We’ve won the BBC goal of the season twice

A score prediction and what do you expect the attendance to be?

I think there will be a an away following of about 1,800 and it will finish 5-1 to us.
