Loanwatch: Hornby wins again as Chester go through on penalties

Goalkeeper Sam Hornby has a 100% record with Chester after their success in the FA Trophy over the weekend.

The goalkeeper was on the winning side for the second time running as Chester dealt up an FA Trophy shock beating Fylde on penalties. The match ended 1-1 after extra-time but Chester won it 5-4 on penalties.

Harry Middleton

The midfielder had to sit it out over the weekend as Halifax’s game with Macclesfield fell foul of the weather.  The pitch was declared unplayable after overnight frost.

Joe Slinn

The keeper also had to sit it out after Staylebridge’s game against Nantwich Town was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

Luke Dennis

It was the same for the central defender as Newcastle Town’s fixture at Frickley was also postponed due to a frozen pitch.
