Where are they now: Andrew Little
One of a select band of Port Vale Internationals, the Northern Ireland forward is now to be found in the Scottish lower leagues
Prior to Vale
Little moved from Northern Ireland to join Glasgow Rangers youth system. He made his senior debut in 2009 but made only a handful of appearances over the next couple of seasons.
His Vale spell
Little joined Vale on loan in August 2011 after Vale had suffered a number of injuries to its squad. However, his time at Vale Park was disrupted by International call-ups and a serious knee ligament injury. His spell was due to last until January 2012 but in October he returned to Glasgow to have medical treatment.
Post Vale
Returning to Rangers, Little was free to leave the club after its financial meltdown but opted to sign a new contract instead. He was part of Rangers’ Third Division championship side and remained with the club until 2014. After his release, Little moved to England with a spell at Preston North End and loan spells with Blackpool and Accrington Stanley. In February 2017, Little had been out of football for a while but decided to join League Two side Stirling Albion . He suffered yet another serious injury and was then released in the summer before the club changed its mind and Little rejoined on a one-year deal.
