Tabloid claims Vale missed out on striker Donovan Williams
A journalist for the Sun says Port Vale failed in a transfer deadline day move for the Wolves striker.
According to Alan Nixon of the Sun, Michael Brown was interested in bringing Donovan Williams to Vale on loan.
According to the journalist…
The youngster was set to sign for the League Two side but Wolves cancelled the deal when they were unable to bring another striker in on transfer deadline day.
The Championship side would have been short on attacking options if they would have let him go out on loan and decided to keep him, much to the disappointment of Port Vale.
Wilson, 20, came up through the Bristol Rovers academy and signed his first professional contract in May 2014. Despite being on the bench for Rovers in several games, he never made a senior appearance.
He joined Wolves in 2015, initially on loan with a view to a permanent deal of around £50,000. He has since played once for Wolves.
