Port Vale owner Norman Smurthwaite has told BBC Radio Stoke that neither Micky Adams nor Nigel Adkins will be the club’s new manager.
Smurthwaite said that Adams could return in a backroom role but not as manager while he claimed that Adkins would not consider a move to a League Two club.
The Vale owner also said that CEO Colin Garlick and himself would not rush into a new appointment.
