Vale home defeat further marred by Forrester injury news
Port Vale say Anton Forrester could be out for months after picking up an injury during the warm-up to the Wycombe Wanderers game.
The luckless striker has only just returned to action after a previous lengthy injury but picked up a thigh injury which saw him replaced by James Gibbons on the bench.
According to the Sentinel newspaper, the club’s initial indication is that the player could be ruled out for months.
The 23 year-old has managed just 25 appearances for Vale since joining the club in the summer of 2016. As fellow forward Tyrone Barnett is also injured it leaves Vale with just Tom Pope, Dan Turner and Rekeil Pyke as forward options.
