Port Vale sign Harry Middleton: Port Vale have announced the signing of former Doncaster Rovers midfielder Harry Middleton.
The youngster has made eighty senior appearances for Doncaster Rovers before finalising his move to Vale Park. He helped Rovers secure promotion to League One at the end of the 2016-17 season making thirty appearances that season. The youngster also has nearly fifty League One appearances to his name.
A former captain of the Doncaster Rovers youth team, he made his first-team debut for Doncaster Rovers in a fixture against Crewe Alexandra in 2012. He was awarded a professional contract by the club in July 2013. The player was one of five players transfer listed by the club in May 2017 and was reportedly the subject of interest by Swindon Town before agreeing to stay with Doncaster.
A deep-lying midfielder, Middleton will provide youthful competition to the existing experienced midfielders on the Valiants books.

We are delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Harry Middleton on a one year-deal.
The 22 year-old has put pen to paper on a deal at Vale Park and becomes the second signing for Michael Brown on deadline day, following the signing of Tom Anderson on loan from Burnley.
Harry has been a one club player throughout his career, having rose through the ranks at Doncaster Rovers.
Middleton made 80 appearances for Rovers during his four years as a first team professional with the club, competing in League One and League Two.
The midfielder was also part of the Doncaster squad who gained promotion out of League Two, during the successful 2016/17 campaign.
Harry will now link up with his new team mates ahead of this weekends visit of Notts County at Vale Park.
