No action against Leeds striker after inconclusive video evidence
The FA will be taking no action against Leeds United forward Sebastian Saiz over claims that he spat at Port Vale player Joe Davis
After the 4-1 League Cup defeat, Vale manager Michael Brown accused Saiz of spitting at the defender during the first half and that Vale staff had asked Leeds to substitute the Spaniard at half-time.
Sinz continued in the second-half and scored twice more to complete a fine hat-trick.
Spitting offences carry a minimum six-game ban under FA rules. However, the media have reported that “any video footage appeared inconclusive” and “the FA has now ended its investigation after contacting both clubs for their observations.”
