Nathan Smith: morale is high and it’s anyone’s game
Nathan Smith says Port Vale morale is high ahead of their must-win game against Fleetwood.
Vale’s 1-0 win over Walsall means that a win could keep the club up.
It’s 50/50 really, it’s whoever wants it more and whoever puts the ball into the back of the net…
Smith told the official Port Vale website: “The morale is really high. We beat them at home and it’s something I feel we can do. We’re going to go away, work hard, battle and know that we have to depend on other results too.
“But, going there – I think we can win. We will be nervous but I think it will be one of them where whoever wants it more, they will come out on top.”
“These are the occasions where we play to be involved in. It’s not the best scenario to be in, come end of the season. But, it’s positive after Tuesday because we would have been out of it if we didn’t beat Walsall.
“It’s anyone’s game. It’s the last game of the season so we need to win but they also need a win.
“It’s 50/50 really, it’s whoever wants it more and whoever puts the ball into the back of the net really.”
