Defensive injuries mount for Port Vale
Vale left Northampton Town on Tuesday with no points and a potential defensive injury crisis.
Scott Tanser was replaced at half-time by Kiko who was himself left out of the starting line-up due to not being 100% fit.
Meanwhile, Kjell Knops left the field late on with a groin strain and had to be replaced by Remie Streete.
Streete, like Kiko, was not fully fit with manager Michael Brown admitting before the match that the defender would not be risked prior to half-time after only completing one day’s worth of training.
However, with a crucial home game against Shreewsbury Town looming, Vale may need to rely on the half-fit duo of Kiko and Streete to potentially start the match.
