Michael Brown says Quentin Pereira is not in first-team contention
Interim manager Michael Brown says midfielder Quentin Pereira is not in contention as he “hasn’t trained great.”
Pereira was signed by Brown’s predecessor Bruno Ribeiro and has made fourteen appearances this season.
Brown named himself as a substitute against Millwall after their midfield was hit by injuries but even following the news that Anthony De Freitas will be out for six weeks through injury, it appears Pereira is not close to the first-team squad.
Brown told the Sentinel: “Pereira hasn’t trained great for a long time now, he has not been near it, and that is where we are. But Seb is working away.
“He is still a young boy who wants to learn his trade in English football, I think he has played a couple of games but he didn’t make this squad.”
