Andre Bikey player profile:

The experienced former Cameroon International defender Andre Bikey was signed on a short-term deal by Port Vale in March 2017.

Bikey began his playing career in Spain before being signed by Reading in 2007. He had further spells with Burnley, Middlesbrough and Charlton Athletic among other clubs. He had also made 25 appearances for his country.

By 2017, he was a free agent after a spell in the Indian Premier League with Pune City. Manager Michael Brown quickly snapped up the veteran stopper to add power and experience to his backline.

He made his Port Vale debut in the 0-0 home draw with Milton Keynes in March 2017 replacing the injured Remie Streete in central defence.

Bikey impressed enough to be offered a new contract but no agreement could be made and he left in the summer of 2018.
