The rumours are certainly flying around Vale Park on deadline day with reports of a bid for one keeper rejected and another goalie reportedly set to join.

According to HITC Sport, Port Vale have had a bid for Leeds United goalkeeper Ross Turnbull rejected. The 32 year-old has had spells with Middlesbrough, Chelsea and Barnsley.

One unlikely signing that is being claimed as a “done deal” is that of Iranian goalkeeper Alireza Haghighi.
