Peterborough United, who have been linked with a move for Port Vale’s Anthony Grant claimed that they would be making no new additions on transfer deadline day. Then they promptly made a signing.
However, despite Darragh McAnthony tweeting to say that there would be “there is nothing happening, Nada, Nunca, zilch, that’s all folks. No signings whatsoever!” the club announced on deadline day that Craig Makail-Smith had joined the club for a third time.
It is therefore perhaps premature to suggest that Posh will not make a bid for Anthony Grant purely on the strength of what appears to be purely empty words from McAnthony.
