QPR boss on Vale loan signing: he’s like a puppy with a treat…
Last week QPR manager Ian Holloway suggested that new Vale loan signing Olamide Shodipo would benefit from a loan spell.
In typical Holloway style the Rangers boss said that the winger was “fresh” and memorably was “like a puppy with a treat, he can’t wait for a treat.”
He’s like a puppy with a treat, he can’t wait for a treat – it’s what I love about him. I blow the whistle and he’s there asking what I need now…
The Irish U21 winger has joined the Valiants on loan until the end of the season.
Speaking to the Kilburn Times Holloway commented: “He is someone I could loan out. I think he would benefit massively from a little spell this season like Furlong or Doughty had.
“He’s trying to do it all because he’s really fresh and wants to do things but it’s all about having a lot more than just running at someone and beating them. He’s got some great crosses, but he’s got three other elements of his game he’s got to learn and he will and I know he will.
“Everyday he’s out there, he’s fresh. He’s like a puppy with a treat, he can’t wait for a treat – it’s what I love about him. I blow the whistle and he’s there asking what I need now.
“The feeling he gives you is brilliant and he’s definitely one who will play for us and will get the fans completely and utterly loving him.”
