Olamide Shodipo player profile:
Young winger Olamide Shodipo began his career at Queens Park Rangers and had made sporadic appearances for the London club’s senior side. He had been born in Dublin before moving to London and had played for the Ireland International junior sides.
The then Port Vale manager Michael Brown signed the youngster on loan from QPR in the 2017 January transfer window in a deal which wwas supposed to last until the end of the season.
Shodipo made his full debut for Port Vale in the home game against Peterborough United in February 2017. He made five further appearances before a season ending tendinitis injury (ironically picked up while on Irish International duty for their Under 21 side) unfortunately ended his loan spell and he returned to his parent club.
He subsequently had another loan spell with Colchester United in 2018 and was a regular QPR squad member in the 2019-20 season.
