Port Vale assistant manager Michael Brown pulled no punches after the Wimbledon defeat, apologising to fans who made a “hell of a long trip” and conceding it was “men against boys.”
Brown told the Port Vale website: “We were awful. Very, very disappointed; disappointed for the fans who made a hell of a long trip it was men against boys really.
“I felt we were outfought, outmuscled…. We didn’t play like we can do…”
