Vale await Alex Jones injury news but striker remains positive
On loa Birmingham striker Alex Jones is set to undertake a scan to find out the extent of his knee injury.
Jones missed the 2-2 draw with Oxford United after injuring his knee in training.
Vale assistant manager Michael Brown told the media: He said: “He is back at Birmingham getting treatment so maybe on Tuesday when we scan that we will find out the true extent of the injury. It’s not looking like he will be back any time soon, but hopefully it is not too bad and we can get him back, he has done ever so well.”
Jones, who has been a hugely popular addition to the squad, tweeted that he was feeling positive about recovering as he posted two tweets:
Good luck to the boys today! Gutted to miss the game through injury. It's not as bad as first thought, so hopefully back playing soon 🙏🏼
