Yates out for seven months leaving Vale short of left-back cover
Luckless defender Adam Yates has told the Sentinel that he faces seven months on the sidelines after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament.
Yates revealed that doctors believe he had been playing with the injury for several months.

Fellow left-back Kiko has missed several pre-season friendlies as well which has meant manager Bruno Ribeiro has had to resort to playing central defender Kjell Knops as left-back.
Yates told the Sentinel: “I’m devastated. It’s probably taken four or five days to set in to my mind.
“I’d had a decent pre-season and it suddenly came to a halt with a bit of a freak injury.
“The injury is something, unbeknown to me, that I have played with for a while now, the surgeon said perhaps up to a year or so.”
