Norman Smurthwaite has tweeted to say that striker Carlos Saleiro will be the “goalscoring star” of League One.
Vale fans have seen little of the 30 year-old striker since he joined the club on a two-year contract.
Saleiro has played just thirteen minutes of the Newcastle Town friendly prompting some concern that the forward was injured.
However, Smurthwaite tweeted to say that the striker was not injured:
