Sentinel: Dodds in talks after triggering contract offer
Long-serving Louis Dodds has revealed he is set to talk to Norman Smurthwaite after triggering a contract offer.
The forward signed a contract last season for 12 months with an option of a further 12 months and that has now been activated.
He explained to the Sentinel newspaper: “I have played a set amount of games to trigger a year in my contract in my favour. I will wait to see what the chairman says. I am going to have a word with him and weigh up any offers which every player does at this time of the season. I don’t think anything will happen for the next couple of weeks.”
Dodds is the club’s longest-serving player having joined the Valiants in 2008.
