Rumour: Tabloid links Rob Page with Cardiff job
Reports in the Sun tabloid have linked Port Vale manager Rob Page with the vacant Cardiff City manager’s role.
Former Welsh International Page has been identified by the club as their preferred candidate, the Sun claims.
Former Leyton Orient manager Russell Slade departed the managerial position earlier this week as he moved into a Director of Football role.
Cardiff CEO Ken Choo told the media: “We are starting selection now. We are reviewing candidates. Maybe it will take a couple of weeks; we do have a shortlist.”
Page has been in charge of the Valiants since 2014 and the Wales International spent a brief playing spell with Cardiff back in 2004.
