Page: we could create something truly special
In a letter to supporters, manager Rob Page has thanked fans for their support and urged them to buy season tickets to help finance “something truly special”
Page’s letter to fans registered on the ticket office database reads:
To all of our loyal fans.
First of all I would like to thank you for your fantastic and unwavering support this season.
The chairman has said he needs inspiration to provide the money required to fund a side that could create something truly special here. Your support, through the purchasing of season tickets, is central to that…
Wins over the likes of Burnley, Wigan Athletic and Sheffield United – just to name a few – were experiences everyone at Vale Park will remember for a long time and each and every one of you played a massive part in that.
There have, of course, been disappointing moments along the way, as there are during every season, but your backing through it all has been vitally important.
As we head towards the end of the first season, us as backroom staff, this group of players and you as fans, have had together, it is only natural to look back at the highs and lows of a campaign which has been laced with progress.
However, now, more than ever, we must look forward to the new season as planning gets underway both on and off the pitch for 2016/17.
We would like to keep as much of this superb squad together as possible and add to it with the quality that will hopefully see us make a real push next year.
