Grant’s comments hint at external managerial appointment
Port Vale’s player of the year Anthony Grant says the club need to “get a manager through the door” and “whoever comes in will work with Browny “

“So, whoever comes in will work with Browny and he knows us inside out. So, hopefully those two can work together – and get the best out of the nine players we’ve got!”
Midfielder Brown has been made the bookies’ favourite to be appointed manager but Grant’s comments suggest that he thinks Brown is more likely to be employed as an assistant-manager.
However, whether these comments are guesswork or whether Grant has some insider knowledge of who will be appointed is open to debate.
