Fleetwood sign former Vale keeper Chris Neal
Former Port Vale goalkeeper Chris Neal has become Fleetwood Town’s fifth signing of the summer as he penned a two year deal.
Arguably one of Vale’s best goalkeepers in recent years, Neal was unlucky to be injured at the start of last season.
Vale signed youngster Jak Alnwick to replace him and Alnwick did so well that Neal was unable to regain his place and went on loan to Bury and Doncaster Rovers.
Neal was released at the end of the season after a four year stay at the club which included being the regular goalkeeper during Vale’s 2013 promotion from League Two.
Neal also played a part in Shrewsbury Town’s promotion in 2012.
We would like to wish Chris all the best at his new club.
