Rob Page: Remie Streete was always in my plans
Manager Rob Page has told the Sentinel that he’s delighted that defender Remie Streete has forced his way back into the first-team.
Page told the newspaper: “I am really pleased with him. It is never been that he was not in my plans, but when you have two centre halves that are playing well then how can you change it?
He has grabbed it with both hands. It is a shame for him because this season is coming to an end…
“Then having a centre half on the bench is something I don’t normally do. I normally have a defender on the bench, someone like Adam Yates that gives you that option of covering right back and left back.
“So he has been in my plans, he has just found it hard to get back into the team, because of the run we’d had.
“I have always said to him ‘when you get your opportunity, it is over to you’.
“He has grabbed it with both hands. It is a shame for him because this season is coming to an end and we only have three games now. But he just has to worry about his performances for the future.”
