Crystal Palace to have say in whether defender plays for Vale
Port Vale are to speak to Ryan Inniss’ parent club Crystal Palace as they decide whether to play the defender in the crucial game against Burton Albion.
Inniss was stretchered off on Saturday after coughing up blood but doctors have subsequently cleared him to play.
We have to do what is right for the lad. We don’t want to jeopardise anything or knock him back further…
Manager Rob Page told the media: “Ryan has trained really well today and he is itching to get back going again. So, we will have dialogue with Palace and get their thoughts on it as well. We have to do what is right for the lad. We don’t want to jeopardise anything or knock him back further.
“We will manage that carefully and will have conversations now with Palace. But he has got through a high intensity training session, worked really hard and threw himself about and came through it with no problems.”
Inniss signed for the Valiants on a season-long loan but his spell has been hit with injuries. A shoulder injury sustained earlier in the season has restricted him to just fifteen appearances this campaign.
