Dodds’ injury gives duo chance to stake their claim

An injury to Louis Dodds means that Uche Ikpeazu and JJ Hooper are in contention to partner AJ Leitch-Smith at Coventry City.

Dodds suffered a hamstring injury against Walsall on Sunday and both Ikpeazu and Hooper came onto the pitch as substitutes.

Ikpeazu is probably favourite to start as he has six goals already this season but according to the Valiants, Hooper has impressed in training.

Dodds’ injury is not expected to be a long-term one but he is unlikely to play during the busy festive period.
