Captain Carl Dickinson has admitted that the “table doesn’t lie” but that Vale can bounce back from their current poor form.
Dickinson told the official Port Vale website: “The table doesn’t lie. At the end of the day we are where we are because that’s where we deserve to be and I have said that before.

“We are on a little bit of a bad run, but we can’t feel sorry for ourselves. We have to get ready for a big game here on Saturday and it is going to be another tough game.
“We know what we need to do this week to get ready for it and we need to come out fighting on Saturday and give it our all.
“I think we have got a really good squad. Things haven’t been going so well, but with this squad we’ve got, the top half of the table is where we should be.”
