Page backs squad players in Andoh’s absence
Manager Rob Page says that in the “short term there is enough to see us through” after Enoch Andoh was ruled out for the season.
Andoh’s knee injury may rule him out of contention but Page has hinted that there is now a chance for players such as Ryan Lloyd, Sam Kelly and Chris Birchall to cover for him. However, the Vale manager does admit he may have to look at a replacement for the winger, possibly via the loan market.
Page told the media: “He has been a bright spark for us and this gives an opportunity for other players to step up to the plate.
“If there’s business to be done we will do it because he will be a loss. If we can’t call on somebody here we will go and get somebody to improve us again.
“In the long-term we might have to bring someone in but in the short term there is enough to see us through and our focus is getting three points tomorrow.
