Former Valiants: Micky Adams finds new club
Former Port Vale manager Micky Adams has been appointed the new manager of Irish side Sligo Rovers.
Adams left Vale in 2013 but endured a disastrous spell with Tranmere Rovers that resulted in the club losing its league status and Adams stepping down.

“Sligo Rovers are pleased to announce the appointment of Micky Adams as the club’s new manager and Alan Rogers as his assistant and coach,” a club statement read.
“The new management team will take up their positions immediately and will prepare the team for Saturday’s home game against Cork City at The Showgrounds. The appointments will be reviewed at the end of the season and the agreed priorities are preserving Sligo Rovers Premier Division status and continuing our involvement in the FAI Cup.”
