Streete: Vale Twitter users persuaded me to sign
New signing Remie Streete has praised Port Vale Twitter users and said their comments persuaded him to sign for the Vale.
Streete signed a two-year deal with the club on Monday and he told the Sentinel: “I think I have had a lot of support on Twitter from the Port Vale fans and it just felt like they wanted me to come back as well which was nice.

“The main thing is the lure of playing football every week but it is nice to feel the fans want you and want to see what you can do.”
Streete believes he can help Vale’s defensive problems adding: “I spoke to a couple of the lads and from what I have read the problems were at the back last season rather than going forward.”
Vale fans will be hopeful that the club can persuade long-term loan target Ryan Inniss to agree a move and form a potentially influential centre-half partnership with Streete.
