Former Valiants: Myrie-Williams released
Former Port Vale winger Jennison Myrie-Williams has had his contract cancelled by Scunthorpe United.
Myrie-Williams opted for a two year deal at the Irons over a new contract with Vale in the summer of 2013. However, Myrie-Williams was not a regular in the Scunthorpe side and spent a spell on loan at Tranmere Rovers.
Vale replaced Myrie-Williams with Mark Marshall and are now engaged in a similar waiting game to see if Marshall will sign a new deal.
If Marshall does leave, it is not inconceivable that Vale may be interested in re-signing Myrie-Williams who scored 22 goals in 101 appearances for the club.
Myrie-Williams has agreed to have the last year of his United contract cancelled – usually a sign that a player has a move to a new club lined up.
