Former Port Vale defender moves to Scottish Premier League

Released Port Vale defender Chris Robertson has signed for SPL side Ross County, it has been announced.

Robertson was signed by former manager Micky Adams two years ago but was released this summer. He made 71 appearances, scoring six times.

Robertson joins they fellow new recruits, defender Richard Foster, goalkeeper Scott Fox, defender Darren Holden, midfielders Ian McShane, Michael Gardyne,  Stewart Murdoch and Jonathan Franks and attacker Brian Graham.

The Scottish press claims that Robertson is likely to be paired with Bradford City’s Andrew Davies, who is also expected to join Ross County this summer.

He is the first of Port Vale’s three released players – the others being Kaid Mohamed and Alex Nimely – to find a new club.
