Chris Lines leaves Port Vale for Bristol Rovers
Bristol Rovers have confirmed the signing of midfielder Chris Lines on a permanent basis.
Lines had a successful loan spell with hometown side Rovers last season and was widely expected to join the club.
Rovers chairman Nick Higgs told the side’s official website: “We have been talking with Port Vale for a number of weeks and I am very pleased that we have now reached an agreement whereby Chris can return to us on a permanent basis. ”
Lines added: “I think everyone knows that I have always been a Bristol Rovers supporter and I am so pleased to have this opportunity to play for the club again in the Football League.”
Lines joined Vale in 2013 and made 72 appearances, scoring four goals.
