Former Valiants: Morsy wanted?
Wales Online reports that four clubs are interested in former Vale midfielder Sam Morsy but there is bad news for two other players.
Morsy, player of the year during Chesterfield’s promotion from League Two has impressed again this season as Chesterfield reached the top six in League One.
According to the newspaper, Cardiff City, Leeds United, Sheffield Wednesday and Wigan Athletic are all interested in the 23 year-old.
Morsy progressed through the club’s junior ranks and made 78 appearances for the Valiants. But he was dropped after he was sent-off against Rochdale in 2013 and subsequently rejected a contract offer from the club in the summer.
Meanwhile, there was bad news for two former Valiants with Anthony Griffith placed on the transfer list by League Two Carlisle United and Rob Taylor released by relegated Tranmere Rovers.
