Lines move was ‘good business sense’
Manager Rob Page says that Chris Lines’ surprise loan move to Bristol Rovers made “good business sense” but the midfielder may still have a future at Vale Park.
Page told the Sentinel: “Chris has another year on his contract and we will have a look at that again in the summer.
I just thought it was good business sense to get the full wages recovered from Bristol Rovers…
“Chris wanted to play games. Michael Brown was in great form, and everybody is talking about Michael O’Connor, so with two players like that I could understand Chris’s frustration.
“I just thought it was good business sense to get the full wages recovered from Bristol Rovers and get Tommy O’Sullivan in. He has just as much quality but cost far less from a wages point of view.”
