Lewis Haldane player profile:
Lewis Haldane was a pacy forward signed on loan by Port Vale from Bristol Rovers in September 2009. He was a regular selection during the start of the 2009-2010 season and agreed a permanent move to Vale Park in January 2010.
Prior to the Valiants, Haldane had made over 150 appearances for Bristol Rovers and had also earned a Wales U21 cap.
In the summer of 2010, he suffered a bizarre injury as he was hospitalised following an insect bite. He recovered to make 23 appearances during the 2010-11 season. However, he suffered an awful double leg break in a game against Tranmere Rovers at the start of the 2011-2012 season. Sadly, he was forced to retire because of the injury in October 2011.
After leaving the professional game, Haldane moved back to the West Country and appeared for a number of non-league sides.
