Nimely on the brink of Vale exit
Port Vale may have finally lost patience with striker Alex Nimely after manager Rob Page revealed that the striker is absent without permission.
Nimely has already been disciplined once for going missing and just four months after joining the club his Vale future looks bleak.
Manager Rob Page told the press: “He has gone AWOL.
I want good people around me. I want good pros that want to work hard to earn the right to be in the team…
“We have given him the opportunity to come in and have a chat and sort things out but he has gone AWOL so it is in the hands now of the people above us. We will go down the disciplinary route and sort that out.
“I want good people around me. I want good pros that want to work hard to earn the right to be in the team.
“Nobody has a God given right to put that jersey on. You have to earn the right to do that.”
Nimely has made just one appearance for the side and the club could decide to cut their losses after the player’s latest breech of discipline.
