The Sentinel reports that Vale manager Rob Page is confident of signing Freddie Veseli and Achille Campion on permanent deals.
Ipswich manager Mick McCarthy indicated that Veseli has no long-term future at Portman Road when he joined Vale on loan at the start of the season while the Valiants are also confident that a permanent deal for Campion can also be reached.
The loan pair’s contracts run out in the next few days but Page believes both players want to stay with the club.
He told the Sentinel: “We are confident with both. We know they both want to stay, and they love being at the club, and they know that the fans would appreciate them staying as well.”
Ipswich defender Veseli has rapidly become a fixture at centre-half while French forward Campion is pushing for a first-team start after a rush of goals for the Reserves.
