N’Guessan deal close?
The Sentinel reports that Vale are in talks with striker Dany N’Guessan about extending his contract until the end of the season.
The striker has scored three times in seven appearances for the Vale despite the Frenchman having played no first-team football since March.
His current short-team deal expires after Vale’s next match – the trip to Crawley Town on Saturday.
Top-scorer Tom Pope is expected to be out of action until at least the end of January, so Vale are in the market for experienced cover in that area.
To cover the gap left by Pope’s absence, they have added Achille Campion, Alex Nimely and N’Guessan to their squad alongside existing forwards Ben Williamson and Jordan Slew plus utility men Louis Dodds and Colin Daniel, who can both play upfront.
