Jennings keen to extend Tranmere stay
Port Vale’s on-loan midfielder Steve Jennings says he wants to extend his loan spell with League Two side Tranmere Rovers.
Jennings joined Tranmere on loan shortly after former Vale manager Micky Adams took charge in October. Jennings has made eleven appearances for Rovers and has often been handed the captain’s armband.
His deal is due to expire on the 3rd January but Jennings is unlikely to be needed by the Valiants. Michael Brown and Michael O’Connor are in impressive form and Chris Lines is set to return from suspension.
Jennings told the Liverpool Echo that he is hopeful his loan spell can be extended commenting: “We are trying to sort a few things out and you can never say never. I have only ever been used to playing regularly, wherever I’ve been.”
