Former Port Vale forward Gavin Tomlin has thanked the Valiants for allowing him to depart on “good terms” in the summer.
Tomlin left the club while one year into a two-year contract with the club and will face the Vale this weekend after sealing a summer move to Crawley Town.
Tomlin told the press: “I left Port Vale on good terms with everyone there. I was offered the chance to move back to London and play for a new team even though I had another year left on my contract there but they let me go.
“It was on good terms and I’m quite happy with the way I left but I still want to win the game on Saturday.”
