Manager Rob Page has backed skipper Carl Dickinson even though the club captain may only start on the bench on Saturday.
Ryan McGivern has been in impressive form at left-back since Dickinson was subbed against Yeovil and the Northern Irishman is set to keep his place.
Page said of Dickinson: “Dicko will be fine. He is very much like myself when I played in that I wanted to fight the world and thought I could win every single header.
“It is a great attribute to have. You can’t give that fire in the belly to a player, so I would rather have someone like that and then pull the reins on them.”
