Port Vale defender Ryan McGivern played the full ninety minutes in Northern Ireland’s European Championship Qualifying defeat to Romania.
McGivern became Port Vale’s fifteenth International when he appeared as a sub in the game against Greece earlier this season, but he was promoted to a starting position for this game.
Romania won the game thanks to two late goals from Papp but the Irish still remain in a good position to qualify after an excellent start to their campaign.
