Sam Johnson goes out on loan
Port Vale’s highly rated young goalkeeper Sam Johnson, has joined Alfreton on a month’s loan.
Johnson broke into the first-team last season and started this campaign as first choice before the return of Chris Neal. The 21 year-old has made 24 senior appearances for the Vale.
The Valiants are keen to give Johnson more first-team football and the move to the Conference Premier side will allow that to happen.
Rookie keeper Ryan Boot has returned from a loan spell at Newcastle Town and is likely to step in for Johnson on the bench.
