Page praises ‘positive’ Streete
Rob Page has told the official Port Vale website that Remie Streete has been a ‘positive’ influence already and that he may extend his loan spell with the club.
The Newcastle defender was signed on a month’s loan last week and was named on the bench for Saturday’s game with Yeovil.
Page commented: “He’s a great kid and he absolutely loves it here. The training is a little bit different for him after training with a Premier League club day in and day out and coming down to our level.
He is definitely one that is going to have a bright future in the game and we are just happy that we can use him for what he is at the moment…
“But we do things the right way – he has noticed that and appreciates that and he has been nothing but positive since he has been here.
“You want good players in and around your squad, with the right character and temperament, and he has certainly got that – he ticks all the boxes.
“It is nice to hear that from the lad’s point of view, that he is enjoying it and wants to extend it. He understands that he has got to be patient regarding to game time.
“He is definitely one that is going to have a bright future in the game and we are just happy that we can use him for what he is at the moment.”
